About the Scholarship
The Fred Scheigert Scholarship Program awards four (4) students an individual prize of $3,000. This competitive scholarship is available to full-time college students with low vision, chosen from among those who meet the visual acuity and academic guidelines.

Eligibility
- Legally blind or low vision (acuity from 20/70 in the better eye with best possible correction, or a field no greater than 30 degrees)
- Full-time (12 units undergraduate/ 9 • units graduate) college/trade/vocational student for the academic year
- Minimum cumulative 3.2 Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Expected to attend the ACB National Conference and Convention (the Convention typically occurs over one week in early July, and its venue changes each year). Students’ expenses will be reimbursed based upon the Board approved Reimbursement Policy.
