Public Transportation

Coastal Highway Beach Bus

Service: South Division Street Transit Station to/from 144th Street Transit Station

Fare: $4 Ride-All-Day fare ($2 reduced Ride-All-Day fare for individuals with disabilities)

Operational hours:

  • Summer: May 24 – September 15, 2024: 6:00 am – 3:00 am; Approximately every 15 minutes
  • Fall: September 16 – October 27, 2024: 6:00 am – 2 am / Approximately every 30 minutes

Ocean City Boardwalk Tram

Service: Atlantic Avenue (Boardwalk) South 1st Street Tram Station to/from 27th Street Tram Station

Fare: $5 Per-Person, Per-Boarding, One-Way

Operational times:

  • Summer: May 24 – September 2, 2024: Noon to Midnight every day
  • Post Labor Day (September 3-8)
    • Tuesday – Saturday 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
    • Sunday: Noon – 8:00 pm
  • Bikefest (September 11-15)
    • Wednesday – Saturday 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
    • Sunday: Noon – 8:00 pm
  • Sunfest (October 24-27)
    • Thursday – Saturday 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
    • Sunday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

West Ocean City Park-N-Ride Beach Bus

Service: South Division Street Transit Station to/from West Ocean City Park-N-Ride at 12848 Ocean Gateway, Ocean City, MD 21842

Fare:

  • Free (except on designated special event dates)
  • $4 Ride-All-Day fare ($2 reduced Ride-All-Day fare for individuals with disabilities) applies July 4, OC Air Show (August 24-25), Oceans Calling (September 27-29), Country Calling (October 4-5), and Sunfest (October 24-27).

Operational times:

  • Summer: May 24 – September 2, 2024
  • Bikefest (September 11-15)
  • Oceans Calling (September 27-29)
  • Country Calling (October 4-5)
  • Sunfest (October 24-27)

Express Beach Bus Shuttle for Special Events

Service offered:

  • OC AIRSHOW August 24 – 25, 2024
    • Transport to/from the West Ocean City Park N Ride & 17th Street and Baltimore Ave. Sat & Sun 9 am to 5 pm, approximately every 20 minutes.  
    • Transport to/from 40th St. South Convention Center parking lot and 18th St. and Baltimore Ave. Sat & Sun 9 am to 5 pm, approximately every 20 minutes.
  • Sunfest October 24 – 27, 2024
    • Transport to/from 40th St. South Convention Center parking lot and Sunfest fairgrounds.
    • Thursday thru Saturday 9 am to 10 pm & Sunday 9 am to 7 pm, approximately every 20 minutes.

Fare: $4 Ride-All-Day fare ($2 reduced Ride-All-Day fare for individuals with disabilities)

Paratransit

Ocean City ADA Paratransit

  • $4 fare/day covers all rides in one day
  • Available during the same operating days and hours as our fixed-route Coastal Highway bus service.
  • Must schedule trips no later than be made by 4:00 p.m. the day prior.
  • Can also connect with neighboring transit systems: Delaware Area Transit (DART) at the North end of Town and Shore Transit.
  • If certified and have a card from another agency, eligible to use ADA Services for up to 21 days in a 365 day period without obtaining certification.

ADA Paratransit MEDTRN Services

  • Service: Medical appointment transportation services on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Must schedule trip no later than 11 am the day prior
  • Eligibility: ADA-qualified persons residing within the corporate limits of Ocean City to/from locations within 500 yards of Route 50 between Ocean City and Berlin, MD, within 500 yards of Route 589, and within the corporate limits of Berlin, MD.
  • Fare: $5 per boarding.

Robert H. Melvin Jr. MEDTRN Plus Program

  • Service: Round-trip transportation for medical appointments to Salisbury, Pocomoke, Cambridge, Baltimore, and Philadelphia via Shore Transit.
  • Sponsored by the American Legion Post 166 of Ocean City and is for all ADA qualified Ocean City Citizens and American Legion members including the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Sons of the Legion.
