Public Transportation
Transit Services of Fredrick County
Offers a variety of public transportation options, and all are free to any passenger.
10 Connector Routes operate in the City of Frederick and urbanized areas of Frederick County.
Commuter shuttles and two Meet-the-MARC shuttles operate each weekday.
Connector and Shuttle Buses
- Fare: $0; Currently, all Transit Services of Fredrick County public transportation services are available at no cost.

Meet-the-MARC Service
The Meet-the-MARC Service offers commuters transport from several outlying areas to either the Point-of-Rocks MARC train station or the Frederick Transit Center. Find details of this service in the Meet-the-MARC Current Service Rider Bulletin. Currently, the Meet-the-MARC Service is free.
Paratransit
Transit Services of Fredrick County Paratransit
Transit-Plus
- Available to Fredrick County residents with qualifying disabilities
- Free shared ride service, first come, first served
- May schedule between 2 and 10 business days in advance
- Operates Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Must complete and have application approved
ADA Paratransit Service
- Pick up and drop off within ¾ mile of Connector routes 10, 20, 60, 61, 65, and 80 (may be requested on other routes)
- Available during normal fixed route bus operating hours
- Must call by 4 pm on the business day before the requested ADA service
Taxi Access Program
- Available to Transit-Plus customers who have attempted to schedule Transit Plus
- Discounted fares
- Depending on one’s residence, each month, get $70 or $140 of taxi fare “credit” for a $10 or $20 fee
- Three taxi companies participate in this program
